The Short Version
I've been writing production code since 1999. I've worked inside companies and built my own. I've shipped systems across product visualization, e-commerce, AI integration, and full-stack platforms — systems that are still running years later.
In 2007 I went fully independent. Everything since then has been my own operation — my clients, my code, my reputation on the line. That's how I like it.
Derek Does Web is the consulting brand. Mighty JS, LLC is the company behind it. Showroom One is the platform currently serving manufacturers, transitioning to Appnow Cloud. One person. No layers. No account managers between you and the person writing your software.
